Our community loves to share videos with their friends and family, and we want them to be able to do it in one place. Today, we’re starting to expand our in-app video sharing and messaging feature to the U.S. and other global locations so more users 18 and older can connect over their favorite videos directly on YouTube.

Whether it’s a new music video, a helpful tutorial, or a funny Short, this update will give users a new way to share right where they’re watching. Simply click the new messaging icon directly within the YouTube app to send an invite to share videos and react in real-time.

This update builds on the positive user response we’ve seen in the countries where it’s already live. As with all features on YouTube, our Community Guidelines apply to all shared content and messages.

We’re excited for user feedback in new markets and look forward to expanding even further soon.

Rising country-pop singer-songwriter Stella Lefty is an artist you need to know. Today, her breakout hit, “Boston,” gets a new life with a performance video premiering exclusively on YouTube.

At just 23 years old, the LA-based singer-songwriter is making her mark by blending pop sensibilities with the vulnerable storytelling of country music. Lefty was featured as a Trending Artist on the Rise in May, as her track “Boston” climbed the charts. In 2026, her music has more than 160M views¹ and her monthly audience has grown to over 19M unique viewers on YouTube². She’s sold out headline shows in minutes and is hitting the road this summer with some of music’s biggest names.

“Seeing people around the world discover ‘Boston’ has been so awesome,” said Lefty. “I made this song with my friends so it only made sense to make this video with my friends as well. I hope people love it as much as we loved making it!"

Madonna has always pushed the boundaries of visual storytelling and her latest project is no exception. Following its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival on June 5, Madonna’s new cinematic experience, Confessions II, is now available exclusively on her YouTube channel.

Directed by David Toro and Solomon Chase (TORSO), the film serves as a visual companion to six tracks of her upcoming album, Confessions II, including “I Feel So Free”, “Good for the Soul”, “One Step Away”, “Bring Your Love” with Sabrina Carpenter, “Danceteria” and “Read my Lips”. In the film, each song unfolds across six chapters bringing viewers on a transcendent journey, but always returns to the place that started it all – the dancefloor.

For YouTube Premium members, the experience doesn't end when the credits roll. Premium subscribers will have access to an exclusive afterparty immediately following the premiere, with behind the scenes footage of rehearsals from her recent Times Square performance.
